I like the 1" version and I have really good luck with them
Anyone ever use the Gulp! Alive! Minnows by Berkley? I was wondering if they really do attract the fish like real minnows and if they are worth buying. I have read a few reviews on the web and they have all been favorable of these plastic scented baits. Thanks for any responses.

Yep. Nothing seems to pull the numbers like a real minnow but these things sure do come close!
Used the shrimp in the Gulf of Mexico, they worked pretty good.
I make my own and charge them in gulp juice. Works pretty good.

Hmm I hadn't ever thought of charging homemade baits that way; I've used it for cheap worms I picked up but never a hand pour. Good idea!

I've heard of others having that, but on the section of the Ohio I fish they seem to prefer the attraction of a live fish. Not to say I don't use plastics all the time though!
I've had days of course where the live bait were the best by a mile; then I've had days where they stopped hitting the live minnows and the crappie would still kill the Gulp minnows.....they're a good buy.

All areas North, South, East our West seem to have a differant opp. on live bait our plastics. I have tried a lot of the gulp minnows for gills and crappies in early summer to late fall and have had very good luck with them. They are well worth a try for sure. STEVE
