    Default 12' talon

I want input on these. Is there as many problems with these as the short version? Want one bad but worried about a 2000.00 piece of junk.

Guys having lots of issues. Cabelas, walleye central etc. they say they won't retract or they have to rock the boat really violently to get in stuck out of mud. Even a few guys saying they had to get in the water to physically help the retraction process

Don't Know about the problems but they have changed the location of the motor to the middle of the talon instead of the top. Mine works great , no problems.

Do you have any issues in muddy bottoms?

My Talon always gets stuck in the mud because I fish in Louisiana but it has never been a problem. I just rock the boat once or twice (not "violently") and it comes loose. I have the 8' original and am looking to put the 12' on the other side for wind control. One advantage of the Talon over the other maker: The Talon can be manually retracted with a wrench if it gets stuck due to loss of power.

I have had mine for 2 months now. No issues so far...knock on wood. It works well and holds quite well in soft bottoms.

One other piece of advice put the remote in hatch or your truck. They can easily blow out the boat if you leave it loose.

Don't ask me how I know!
