New To Hartwell

I Recently Moved To Lake Hartwell From Cincinnati Ohio And Would
Greatly Appreciate Any Help I Can Get As To Where, How, And
When To Fish For Crappie. I Live Near The Gum Branch Launch
Ramp And Had A Little Success In March Before The Water
Went Down But Can't Find And Don't Know How To Fish For Them
Now. Would Be Willing To Pay For Gas, Bait, Etc. For Anyone Willing To Take Me Along And Show Me The Ropes. Would Also Pay A
Reasonable Amount For A Guide If That's What It Takes. I Am
60 Years Old And Recently Retired So I Am Available Most Of
The Time. Thanks For Any Help You Can Give Me......don

Welcome to the south Don. I fish Lake Russell which isnt that far away from you but unfortunately I never fish in Lake Hartwell. There are alot of guys here that does though. You may also post on the State Forums....try Georgia and South Carolina forums. I generally see quite a lots of posts about Lake Hartwell oin those forums from time to time. Im not sure where gum branch is on the lake to try and give any direction. I know the lake is very low and harder to fish. It gives you a good chance to motor around and find some structure for when its back up again.

Not to discourage you in anyway but, even though I'm 10 minute from Hartwell I drive 35 and go to Russell. Lots of people catch fish on Hartwell but I dont seem to have their luck.
