    Default buckets for drift socks?

Anyone ever use 5 gallon buckets like you would a drift sock? If so, were the results good?

I used one for a while, worked fine for kayak but just took up too much room for me.

Plastic buckets work their best if you drill/cut a 2 to 3 inch hole in bottom center to let some water flow thru, size depends on your boat

I'd think chain would have a bad habit of getting wrapped around the hundreds of trees up where I fish; not sure about your lake bottoms.
