    Default Miford Strikeout 4/05

Well, first trip of the year to Milford. Nothing but dinks and accidental bass. But discovered I need new batteries (only lasted about 3 hours) and apparently I have to re-learn everthing about my electronics, as nothing (settings) looked familiar from the end of last year. But motor and everything worked good though, and I had fun! Water was 45 near the State Park marina. Brad

Went Sunday 4/06 again. Not much better fishing, but absolutely calm water. Never been on that lake with such little wind. Looked for crappie for about 3 hours. Think I found them out in the channel edges, but couldn't make it work. Only more accidental bass, this time smalllies. Fun day, tho- Brad

Thanks sir! Hit Milford today. Wind really prevented me from getting in a good rhythm. Used my drift socks today with good luck, though. Temp at dam was 49 degrees. Parts of Curtis Creek were 57 degrees where I was. Couldn't find much, but looking around at that part of the lake for the first time prepping for crappie camp. Used chartruse jigs with various tubes and minnows. Caught mostly incidental smallmouths. I'll figure it out someday!

    Nice bronze.

On days like today Milford is one tough lake to fish. Spending lots of time up north.....you should look at it

KAG what parts are ~60? I have only been hitting the upper end for blues lately and the warmest I have seen is 53.
