I did not know you could get a boat into the big eddy.Where do you enter??
Where do you live? I live in Crosby on Lake Houston and cant find many people interested in crappie fishing other than during the spawn. I am obesessed with crappie fishing. No I mean I really have a problem. It is just about all I think about.

Once you pass the highlines hug the left bank until you see a small cut. It gets pretty shollow when the water is low so trim up and stay in the middle. Last year I caught so many fish there in the winter, I had no room in the freezer for the spawn.

    Thanks Big Dave,

Maybe I will see you out there. I may go Friday morning 12/24.
I will be in an 18' G3 center console. Do you jig or minnow fish?

    Thanks again

I use Jigs suspended under a slip cork about 7 footdeep this time of year in the Eddy. Crawl them slow cause the crappie get pretty dosil this time of year.

I have been in conroe about a year. I fished Stublefield Lake last Spring and it was awsume. I still need to learn the Lake. there is a Woman that is a profesional Crappie Guide on the Lake.I've been thinking of booking a trip to help me learn the lake faster.
