Default Forecast for fishing trip, whould you go?

Plan to start fishing Thursday at Ky Lake. Here is the forecast:

    http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...1#.UzG5Nnfnd8E

Today is a high of 43, Wed sunny and 49. Thursday high of 60 with 20% chance of showers winds to 20. Friday 50% showers with high of 65, Sat mostly sunny 61

I'm just wondering if this roller coaster of temps is going to have the fish tight lipped. My teenage son is going to be with us and he is going to be bored if we don't catch any fish.

I wouldn't worry about the temps as much as the wind. KY Lake gets like a small ocean when the wind gets up.

20 mph winds is never fun and it will be chilly. Trolling or pushing will be rough. casting single rod tight lining jigs will still some Ky pigs.

20 MPH winds is pretty hard to fish in, but will the wind be blowing that hard all day every day? If so I sure would think about going or not.

The wind can be a pain. But you can't catch them if you don't go. That being said, do you know the area where you will be fishing? Are there any windbreaks to get behind?

We called it this morning. Not only for wind but it looked like the possibility for over an inch of rain while we would be there. We will try again another time.

I have gone, if the water was to too rough, we would have found something else to do. Hard to get bonding time, especially unplanned adventures. You only have X number of days before they have kids of their own. Enjoy them while you can. Both my sons couldn't go this weekend and my grandson is only 4 months old, still too young. I did enjoy the time I had with my sons before they turned adults and their life took over.

My Son really wasn't wanting to go. He is spending time with his grandpa golfing some this week at his aunts house in Evansville. We are going to Canada in June so no big deal.
