Could be worth a try but I think the white light would have to be at least 5 to 8 feet away from your jig so that the jig is just "out of the light". Crappies don't like the light. They hide out just outside the light ball and ambush bait fish circling in the light. If that light can draw in the bait fish then it should work. I have a 24" green fluorescent light I drop down 6 feet below my boat and that attracts the bait fish which in turn attracts the crappie. I went out last Thursday morning and caught a few using my lights using black/char and glow in the dark jigs!!
