Southern crappie rods. Couldn't get Website to open but he does have a Facebook page. Kevlar rods comparable to Ozark and a whole lot cheaper. Hauled several 1 1/2 lb fish in the boat with the 14's today.
I have a set of 14' BnM PST's and I'm considering a change. Sometimes I feel like the PST's are a little too stiff, brittle and heavy . I've also broke a couple tips hossing 1.5lb fish in.
I watched the episode of Krappie Kings at Sardis and they hossed almost all there fish in and swung them around like crazy... I felt like I would have snapped my rods. Not sure what poles they were using.
Anyways just wondering if anybody had used PST's and switched to others such as the BGJP or the Ozarks and what your thoughts were? Thanks.

I have a set of PST and BGJP. I use the PST for fishing deeper water with heavy weights. I use the BGJP for shallower water and lighter weights and when the bite is light. The BGJPS are lighter and thinner so seeing light bites is easier but you cannot swing in a big fish at all, you must use a landing net.

I order 4 16' Southern Crappie rods and liking them pretty good. Good backbone and a sensitive tip.

Replaced my BnM's with Southern Crappie Rods. Much better rod in my opinion.

Thanks Splitshot, would you also say that the SCR would be a more durable rod as far as not snapping while picking up a big fish?
