    Default Farm Pond Crappie

Thought I would switch it up today by hitting smaller body of water and staying closer to home. It actually took a while to find these fish though it is only a 50 acre pond but was worth it to establish a pattern hopefully for future outings. Kept a few to fry up fresh for supper with one going over 13".

Don't know if this this will help cause it all varies but was fishing cork and 1/8 oz. Maribou Jig 3 ft depth casting parallel to the shore in deepest pond water and really slow reteive. Most hit on the pause. I was hoping to find fish shallow around visible strucure like during the spawn but that wasn't the case.....

We were out on a little boat it is a pretty big pond but the reteivel speed could have been the problem going back out late this morning so we will see what happens. We worked the shore line first also and came up with nothing and looked for the old creek channel in the water shed.
