    Default Cave Run 3/15

This winter has been tough on my fishing this year there was still ice on the lake a week ago. We finally made our first trip yesterday and had a pretty good day. We didn't catch a lot of big fish but we caught fish all day most were caught troweling minnow tipped jigs. It was great to finally get on the water we are about a month behind on our fishing because of this crazy weather. I wonted to go back today after church but guess what 2"to 4" of snow on the way beginning this afternoon.

    Nice mess there, drc !!!

Don't see much in the way of reports on Cave Run, so we'd be most happy to have you post reports & pics over on the KY Forum.

Glad to see a Cave Rub report. I am thinking if hitting that lake a lot this year. Have never fished it, but it is close. Looking at the map, it looks like the south end of the lake would,be a more favorable crappie spot. True?

If by the South end you mean the river portion .... that's quite possible. Personally, I've never fished in the river portion, so I really don't know if it's any better than the main portion of the lake. I spent all of my Spring Crappie fishing at Cave Run, along the North shoreline & the creeks/bays that come off it (between Twin Knobs & Warix Run).
