As of today, there are still areas of ice. Will probably be clear by Thursday. Starting by bridge piers might be a good place to start.
Any reports from MT, planning on heading over to St. Louis to see the folks and head to Twain thursday for some fishing, have not ever fished it so any information would be appreciated.

I talked to the Corp office late Thursday and she said ramps were still closed due to ice.
Teach your kids to hunt and fish and you won't have to hunt for your kids !!
the southfork resort's blog reported yesterday that the ice is finally mostly broken up. but todays bad weather might hamper that some. should be open water by next weekend if we get a few more nice days. bout time for me to start organizing the crappie boxes and re-spool a couple poles. won't be long now!
Spent the weekend working at the cabin and yesterday (in the midst of a friggin blizzard) Dad and I took a drive........ she's wide open. Route U, South Fork, and 107 are all open and the ice is completely gone. Lake looks REALLY good....... I think it's sitting around 605, so close to normal pool. No visibility much further west than South Fork, but open water as far as the eye can see.
It's time!

I'd be interested in what the water temps are. Twain is usually one of the last lakes to warm up.
According to Cannon Dams Facebook page, the lake is wide open.
