Exclamation Pictures of my transom mount wirelessTroll Motor

Finally got around to installing this spare TM. I plan to use it to reverse my boat when I need to back up quickly. We all know the Terrova is slow to turn around to reverse direction and I believe this will help some. These projects give me something to do. I had all the parts except the wireless stuff and it is cheap via china. I have a rail to hang on to when I raise and lower the TM (thank goodness). I need all the help I can muster.

I know this will work, but I dont know how effective it will be. Thought I would share the pics.

CLICK ON BOTTOM PICTURE TO SEE IT WORK.

    Wireless foot pedal.

Built box for wireless receiver and power switch.

    Temporary mount

    Works

If you had variable speed for it,being it is on the back of the boat you could use it instead of dragging chains.

I don't need to fish bad enough to drag chains.

Thanks Wilbur. This could be done with a "big foot" switch. I just didn't feel like running wires forward to aft. Besides, this wireless unit was cheaper than big foot switch and, it is "cool".

I found the wireless foot control on Ebay. The receiver would only handle a few amps, so I used the receiver to operate a horn relay which switches power to the TM.

Someone removed the button on the transmitter and soldered in the leads to the foot switch. I bought it this way. Handy rig.
