Stopped over at Camp Mack at 6:45, and had planned on meeting everyone and fishing...

But with that Gambler Tournament going on and over 200 fisherman... I couldn't find anyone that knew anything about the Florida Crappie Club Tournament, not even the guy selling parking passes, or the many people on golf carts.

    It was a mad house...

I decided (after getting a ramp pass, LOL)..., to just call it and head down to the County Ramp where Shady Oaks used to be...

Got down there, and there was only one other boat that had launched...

I did try calling you Harold while at Camp Mack, but as usual there, I had no reception..

Anyways, right out from the channel and into the lake dipping minnows, a few very nice hand sized bream. Made a few separate runs to areas..

    East Bird Island
    Marker 8
    Philadelphia Point
North East just out of the channel from Camp Mack
    East Brahma Island

It was rough..., between the wind kicking up and the blind mosquitos in the grass...

We managed 8 crappie, nothing too brag about in size...

I hope everyone had a great time that participated in the tournament, considering the crowd and conditions, and had some great catches...

Looking forward to see the photos..

Phone communications at Camp Mack area are quite bad. I arrived at entrance
to Camp Mack @ 5:15 am & parked so FCC signs could be seen. We were unaware
in November when we set this date that a two hundred Gambler Tournament was also
set. All that we thought or new were comming had checked in by 6:30, therefore,
I left at 6:35am to go to boat ramp - being so crowded, I put in at Tiger Lake and
tournament was weighed in at Camp Lester - 3:30PM DUE TO over crowding at Camp
    Mack's 3:00pm weigh in .

Skiggin, I do apology to you and hope you will try us again... As you say, It was a
    mess at Camp Mack.
2 teams put in at Hwy 60
4 teams put in Tiger Lake
2 teams put in State Park (didn't open till 7am)
    9 team putin Camp Lester
Will adjust next year's Kissimmee tournament, to avoid complicts....

Again apologies to all that may have tried to attend ...

    No problem Harold...

Like you, I didn't realize until the day before about the Gambler Tournament.. Communications is always hit and miss there for me on my AT&T cell.

Looks like you had a good turn out, sorry I missed it..

Looking forward to seeing your results and photos.

    John
