    Default What Rod

Just got a new Shimano 1000 Stradic CI4 spinning reel and I'm looking for a new rod for it. Going to use it for crappie and bluegill, looking at G Loomis sr781 IMX, G Loomis sr6010 IMX and St Croix Avid. Thanks

I have a couple of Stradic 2500 and pair one with Temple Fork FWS 763-1 and Power Pro 10 lb test. I can feel everything.
My fishin buddies "hate me". But I'm clueless as to the rods you mentioned.

I owned an SR6010, but it was a little soft for my tastes so I sold it. Both the other rods are nice, but I'd also look at the Loomis TSR series.

That's a great reel! I dumped one on a GLoomis Bronzeback special in the Shenandoah. $400 + gone

I have the g loomis rod TSR791S-1 GLX as my main spinning rod when casting for crappie. it is the lightest rod I have ever used and is incredibly sensitive. it has great backbone and can handle good sized walleye also.
