Lake Manatee

Anyone have any info on Lake Manatee near Bradenton, Fl.? I've fished it a couple of times with very little luck. Can't find a contour map anywhere and the local fish camp and state park people are vague with good Crappie info.

Also, a little bit on Myakka State Park-near Sarasota: 340 Acre lake above the Dam, water very low but you can catch a few Crappie trolling 1/32 oz. Beetle Spins in the middle of this shallow lake. Bluegill will keep you busy, and there's the odd small Bass.

Getting a new motor for Christmas, so I'll let you know what I can find out about this area.

fishincracker i fish lake manatee as often as i can i usually go for bass. but im just now going for crappie last week was my first crappie trip to manatee i cought a few at the mouth off the gilley river...i havent tryed yet but i heard the night fishing under the bridge by the fish camp is supossed to be really great...so do you live by lake manatee? i live ten minutes away
