    Question winter structure?

Hi everybody been reading your messages for a while and joined the other day. I've been talking with bait eating [eater] about using pvc structure in maybe 25 ft. of water for winter, thinking maybe the crappie would use it.what do you think wood or plastic?

I like the pcv in every location.
However it gets $ so sometime you have to use what you can get your hands on.

i like to use pvc sometimes, but only in a few locations. wood is natural, it lasts a good couple of years, and it is readily available. use black if you do, it warms up quicker and grows algae super fast. white takes forever to get a bunch of algae on.

You know what i am using.
    A combination of both.

I think the PCV shines in the deep water because you can configure it to your need to cover a large area and it does not weight a ton.

but technically it is trash. is it ok to dump 100 old tires into the back of my cove and call it structure? it would work really well. that is the only reason i use pvc so sparingly, it makes me feel guilty.

Fry that is the least of your worries in that lake Trust me.
I have been on to many service calls with a friend that may or may not deal in the sewer repair buisness.:D :D

I know what you mean Fry I use it as little as I can also.
You must use only trees that have fell down for some reason and sink them with the hemp that you grow and tie that to rocks that are native to this area.:D :D

Fry is it really pollution if it does no harm or does pvc give off some chemical that actually pollutes?
If so I am sure that dock of yours has pvc foam on it you want me to help you drag that out??

With your profession I am suprised you even ingauge I any of this type of talk.

Just had to give a good ole tree hugger some he_ _.
