Default Need some suggestions on a boat cover

What I need is a very light mesh type fabric to cover my boat to keep the birds and flying bugs (if possible) out of my boat when it is on the lift in my boat slip. I don't want a canvas type cover as they are hard to cover the boat in a breeze. I will need to anchor the mesh with bungee straps, maybe???
The less I have to do, the better I like it.

the boat is 6x16 and has plenty of stuff (pole holders, etc) large nets would hang on.

I don't know crap about mesh fabrics and the pics on the internet dont make sense to me.

Canepole, custom made may be the way to go to get exactly what you want but it can get expensive.

Tom, for what you are wanting to do might investigate Mosquito netting. Don't know how expensive it might be but the only mesh that I know of that would keep the bugs out.
If you know someone that sews you might get a roll of the plastic mesh screen used for windows and cut and sew up a cover that would be very light and easy to handle. Could even have hemmed with nylon cloth to put attaching holes in for your bungies.

I haven't used one personally yet. I will be getting one for a shade. I have heard nothing but good things about them.

They sell those mesh tarps in our local biggie (menards etc.) hardware stores in same section as truck nets, straps etc for holding down leaves etc in back of pick em ups, look around thinking that way u can go see in person like do a meet & greet??? But I don't know if long enough for u needs but I have also seen bigger ones on those yard waste bins/box they haul around on back of trucks. I wouldn't think harbor freight ones would last too long as most of their is so so quality, just my 2 cents

Check with someone who operates a greenhouse. The same stuff is sold in bulk in varying widths. It wouldn't have grommets, but you could add clips wherever you wanted bungies. It also comes in different mesh sizes to accomplish different % of shade.
