Reels for pulling crankbaits???

I was wondering what everyone used for pulling crankbaits, currently I use just a spincast reel but found a good deal on some Cabela's Line counter trolling reels that I would love to have. I think it is important while trolling to know exactly how much line you have out so that your bait reach's the sweet spot. Using Baitcasters or spincasters you are just taking a wild guess.

Yikes those are some BIG reels for crappie! The smallest holds nearly 300 yards of 14# test and weighs over a pound.

I've used those reels for three years with braid pulling bandits & jointed shad raps. No problems!

I have some and they work fine, but for the money I like my bass pro mega cast sprinning reels. I buy them in size 30 and 40 for 5 to 10 dollars at the bp outlet store in springfield and they are hard to beat for the money. I don't worry much about depth. I run 300 series and 200 series bandits and size 7 flicker shad and can cover the depths that our fish on my home lake are at pretty well. If the 200's are hot I switch over but 9 times out of 10 the 300's and flicker shad #7 are the best and I run them at max depth most of the time.
