    Default Grand not so grand

Got to Bucksaw around 11am and went up by U bridge and fished and caught three nice crappie and several blue catfish, then went down to sand creek and not even a bite.
On the way back to Bucksaw I fished bluffs and only caught one, dead and dying shad everywhere!!
The crappie I caught were around 15 to 18 ft deep in 30 fow, showing several on the fish finder but they must of been full of shad.

It was not a bad day, I enjoyed every minute of it. I figured with all the dying shad it was going to be bad, it was nice to get out on the lake.

glad you got out. I asked the biologist about the shad kill here on truman, You can read post on ask biologist. He said it wouldn't make any difference. Guess we will have to wait and see

I'm sure the morning bite is better, they were hitting pretty good until noon.
I'm out of practice also, the last time I went fishing was last September. :/

I hear that this morning was pretty good catching. We didn't get out until about 3 at Sand Branch and pulled off the water at about dark and ended up with 15 good ones. Through a few back that were just a hair over 9.

Were you in a black boat fishing the mouth of sand branch?
