Went over the pros and cons of HB vs Low. Hard to choose which to get. I ended up renewing with the Lowrance stuff. Again, hard to choose. I have a lot of older Low stuff that will network with the new stuff, so I went the Lowrance.

The 9 screen was just too big for where I wanted things mounted, so I ordered a his and her HDS7 touch. Also ordered a Point 1 GPS. I plan to use and HDS gen 2 (5 or 7, whoever I find at a reasonable price) and use it for GPS only. I believe I can NEMA 2000 network 3 HDS units. The older HDS stuff will go to the back of the bus. I will not network front and back, but I can move units around so I can see stuff where and when I want.

Just ordered the stuff from our good man Brian @ BBG Marine. Getting it while I have money discounts. Save $400. Lernt to be frugal from Brenda.

Be on the lookout for a good used Gen 2 with Insight maps. Gen2 M model would work fine.
