Glad you got out. Thanks for the report. Good to know somewhere in MO. there is a little Liquid H2O
Hooked the boat and headed to Bridgeport this morning. Wasn't meant to be. Still probably 80% frozen. Did another cross country trip to Yokum Creek on Bull Shoals. Fished some perfect brush piles in 10 to 30 fow. There wasn't a crappie to be had for about 8 hours of fishing. I'm thoroughly confused. At least it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. It's better than moping around the house for another day. And it's a heck of a lot better than 9" of ice. WOW!

Makes it easier to be in exile mode at least.
Yep, nice to get out of house and enjoy the air and scenery even if the fish don't wanna play
If nothing else, I had time to do a lot of experimenting with my side and down imaging while enjoying the weather. The more that I use it the more it amazes me. In open water, it would be hard to keep brush piles a secret now.
Hopefully it will be melted off before March 15. I'm coming down to catch some paddlefish, crappie and whites.
Broke through the ice to get down to piney.
Float and Fly in 2' down. Toss into 15' and let go to the wind blown bank.
Caught a few shorts.
Wasn't good fishing for sure. All my good spots are covered.
Should open today if we get enough wind.
Standing in the Gap
These 30 and 40 mph winds on 60 degree days should do the trick for us. XXXXXXXX Crossed fingers and toes.
Hey DofC,
Went to Pt 15 last Wednesday and caught em. Had 11 good keepers. Spider riggin. Fish was deep. Caught about 21 all together. Could not catch a keeper above the Point marker.
