    Default Fishing Dams for Crappie


    Do any of you fish dams for crappie. I noticed that the tailwaters are still pretty warm. Is that from the generators and if so is the water warmer like all year?

    Some of my favorite memories are fishing below the lake Houston dam in Texas. It had a lot of riprap the crappies would stack up into during the spring. Back then we were allowed to wade out to them. We would throw a double curly tail rig at them and reel in just fast enough to keep from getting hung up.
    I have wondered if there is any action like that below the dams on the Arkansas river where I live now.
