I had to do that once and it seems like I used a very heavy pair of shears or tin snips. It was very slow and blistered my hand pretty good.

    Hey Tom:

I cut up a tire to make a beaching bumper for my boat with a sharp, Stanley Heavy Duty utility knife blade and it cut right through it nice and clean using a drywall square for a straight edge with a piece of wood underneath the tire. I wouldn't think your bed liner would be any heavier or thicker than a tire.

    Cane Pole:

Take it back and get one that fits. That is the first thing that I would recommend. Why fool with it if you don't have to.

Another option is to have the bed spray coated. That is what I would do if I had a new truck. We undercoat our new vehicles to keep the undercarriage from rusting and that treatment will work on the truck bed also.

As for the Arthritis .. I have that also. My doctor had me taking Celebrex of all things but it just didn't seem to help me. I only took it for one month or so and then stopped as it was not working at all. I found that the Ibuprofen worked just as good or better and it was cheaper too. Turns I that I made a very wise decision. I hate taking any more medicine than I have to and I don't really trust the Doctors as they tend to listen to the Pharmacy companies instead of doing their own research on new drugs. We have a situation where the pharmacy company's are selling to the patients directly these days through many and varied TV commercials telling us to ask our Doctor's about this drug or that drug. The guys doing the testing of these drugs also have a huge financial steak in the results of the drug. If they spend a years trying to get a drug approved though the FDA and then find out that it had serious side effects they MAY or MAY NOT be inclined to point out all the negative side effects and may just want to Talk about the positive effects only. Celebrex and the one you are taking are two examples of why we should not always trust the pharmacy companies. It's only because of the guy that came out and told on FDA that we are finding out about this problem with these arthritis pain drugs and hopefully this will prevent guys like you and me from having a heart attack or stroke prematurely. I would rather have an upset stomach than a heart attack anyday.

Now if you can't find another way to protect that Toyota Truck Bed then you may have to apply some heat to the rubber mat to help you cut though it better. Have you tried a Carpet Knife yet????? They are the ones with the curved blade at the end that you pull though heavy duty carpet to cut it. It may work on your rubber mat. Just becarefull and don't cut off a finger or anything else.

I can't mix Celebrex and Viagra. Now what do you think I am gonna take. Truck purchased with a liner in it, but is slick, thus the rubber floor mat type and why it don't fit too good (liner in a liner). Has to be cut to fit. I did not get it at Wal-Mart, so I can't return it.

Hey Canepole, isn't viagra that stuff they give you so you won't roll out of bed? LOL I asked my doctor once if I could take it and he said yes but it would have side affects. I asked him what and he said it would kill me. (due to heart meds I'm on) But, he added, I would go with a smile on my face.

    Hey Cane Pole and Moose:

Have you guys ever heard of Kombucha Tea? I've been drinking it for 5 or 6 years. If I miss a couple days I start feeling it in my joints - arthritis runs in my family. It's good for the digestive track as well.

There is a lot of info on the web about it. Like everything else, there are people that claim it will cure anything so.........
