Lakeland fl area lakes

Guys I'm going down to visit my in laws in Bartow Fl. (Polk Co). I have never fished in that part of Fl. I need some info on where to catch some crappie and Bass in that area. I have 2 weeks so probably 5 days of fishing (my wife will not let me fish everyday.)Thinking of small lakes or Kissimmee chain. They live on Lake Garfield. But from what I've read about it it's not that great. I have an 18'9" boat 150 motor. Lake size is not a problem.

When will you be there? I'll be in Lakeland the last week of March and first one of April for the airshow. I dropped a line on the Florida sub and got lots of help and a couple of invites. Give it a shot.
