what might this be coming up off the bottom so high and giving such strong returns?

It doesn't seem to be giving a steady strong red return in the 2d...

It's too deep to be propwash...

Just doesn't look right for baitfish...

    I give up...

Maybe some sediments being stirred up by currents or something...... I see you are just down from a bridge on Guntersville which could be stirring up some wind or thermal currents and lifting soft sediments off bottom. Just a guess, maybe a better guess if we could see more than a partial water column.

The red showing is stronger returns than I normally get so there must be something of significance I would think. I always see this in this area when I go through it, it never goes away. it shows even when the current is not running. cache what do you use to plug in those coordinates to tell the location?

Is there a warm water spring there...??

Did you notice a temperature change when you scanned thru that area...??

He's on the edge of a creek channel. Crappieseeker, widen your SI next time to about 90 feet on each side. Also try going 90 degrees to the way you are traveling now to get a different perspective.

rnvinc I am not sure if there is something like that or not, I was thinking something maybe like that or bubbles of some kind but if it were bubbles they would go all the way to the top,

I suppose that might be possible in a way but when I look at the pictures and look back on the location where I was then I seem to think not. The returns from the edge of the creek channels have always seemed to show up stronger than that return and are more solid. Also it is showing in the 2d down imaging which I would not think would show there and it would show the depth going shallower and not still showing 39 feet and steady, the depth would change and it did not. I kind of want to say you might have it right Stymie but then again I want to say maybe not. I will definitely study it more next trip.
