    Default Nice Fish!

A client of mine caught this 2lb 7oz Black Crappie a couple of weeks ago on a minnow fished under a slip float! He was so excited he did'nt wait for the net and horsed it in! It was a very fat fish... made a couple of nice fillets for him.
Fishing has slowed since then with water temps dropping bellow 50.

I use a Berkley digital scale. Thank you very much! It was a very fat fish. That is a very common size up here on Beaver! Come on up we'll go catch some... I have some openings in March!

Just wondering. I use a digital scale too but I think mine is made by Rapala.

When you get a goodun like that have your client hold it horizontal out in front of them at arms length like this -

    - to make it look as good as possible.

    Hey Ed,

No, it was only 2-pounds, 6-ounces and 17.5-inches long but it came out real nice in the picture.

Jason, how long was that one?

I also try to get my clients to hide they're hands behind the fish as much as possible - that seems to help too. I need to call the taxidermist they took that fish to and see when it's going to be done - I'd like to see it and get a picture of it before he ships it.
