I am wanting to upgrade my electronics but won't be able to do both at the same time. I was wondering where you guys have your best unit at, is it up front where your trolling motor is, or is it at your console? You would be spending the majority of your time up front running the trolling motor but you would also want it at the console when checking out new areas or for spotting fish. The obvious answer is to upgrade both!! Any help would be appreciated!

I have my unit at the front because that's where I spend 99% of my fishing day..

Best should be at steering console this is where you scout and navigate. Use a RAM mount and turn it around if needed while at trolling motor. I would sync the two units when both were upgraded. Structure scan models for instance are not consistent at lower speeds. So they perform best when idling with the outboard. There is no need for a structure scan up front, while actually fishing. Down imaging does work well at lower speeds. Safety is paramount, have your best GPS at the cockpit on foggy days.
