    Default Spreader Rig on Crappie

Has anyone tried trolling with a spreader rig? Pros vs. Cons?

I have a small three wire rig that I bought at Mark's Outdoors three years ago and have yet to catch a crappie or anything else on it. Maybe it's the operator.

Pretty much same experience so far and mine had no weighted head. Tried pulling a few while trolling cranks in deeper water and caught a few bass and stripe but no crappie. Was seeming more trouble than it was worth so I quit expermenting for now.
