Garlic works great for crappie,in a skillet with butter. And yes, garlic scented jigs works too. I have caught my share with them.

Don't know about Crappie, but it works for me.

Used to fish for stocked trout with cubed velvetta cheese, put them in a ziplock bag with garlic extract. It worked pretty good.

I use garlic spray when fishing. Bad thing is, it makes me hungry for spaghetti all day.
