Default Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Bay

I’ve been busy but want to get out and mark some stump locations with my GPS while the water was low in Limestone Bay. I spent about three hours dragging jigs in three to four feet of water on scattered stumps, tosses back several and kept a dozen for dinner. Best bait was a 1/16oz Chartreuse Marabou jig.

With the help of Callshy I’m set with rod holders on my new kayak, still haven’t mounted a fish finder.

That was me down south, left around 11:00.

With the water that low, it was hard to believe there's that many stumps still in there!

Sounds like a fun day. Thoughts of a fish dinner making me hungry.

Nice catch. Does it help in small creeks when the water is as low as it is?
