Alabama River Crappie

I am new to the form and was wondering if there are many out there that fish the Alabama river below Selma. I fish Millers ferry and have had a really good year. I was wondering what kind of structures I could put out that would stay in the corrent of the river?

find the biggest tree on the bank you can find and go to it about 2:30 am and cut it half way into. wait for a good strong wind to blow it in. I have tried to put stuff in the Tenn-Tom waterway and I believe you would need a semi truck full of concrete blocks to hold it in the current, especially during the rainy winter and spring months. Sometimes the trees dont even stay up here in Columbus, MS.
