Best Crappie Lakes in U.S.?

Where would you go if you had the chance to fish anyplace you wanted for crappie in the U.S.?
And, not just for the fishing, we`re talking about the overall appeal of an area that caters to crappie anglers across North America to 'come fish crappie with us' kind of appeal?

Grenada lake Mississippi, an opportunity to catch quality trophy size crappie all year long. The community caters to the visiting anglers the bait shops are plentiful and the weather is usually great anytime of year (of course right now may be an exception). Probly my favorite campground is down there, the Army Corps campground on the north end of the dam. My second choice would be Kentucky lake for pretty much the same reasons but in my mind the size of the crappie gives Grenada the edge.

Fortunately us folks in north Mississippi lives amongst some of the best crappie fishing in the country. I live on the back side of Grenada Lake and am within a couple hours of 5 of the top 20 crappie lakes in the country, what a blessing.

Dardanelle , Blue Mountain, Nimrod and many other lakes in Arkansas may not have the size Mississippi does but we have high numbers of Crappie. We also have some of the best Mountain scenery around our numerous lakes and lots of public campgrounds..
