    Getting ready to retire and need help on how and where to crappie fish nolin lake and rough lake in Ky.

    Wish I could help, but I've never fished Nolin ... and only been to Rough River Lake a couple of times. You might want to post on the KY state forum, too, and see if any of the locals have some info you could use.
    As to the "how" ... that's a personal choice. Whatever method you decide is the most fun to use, would be my suggestion on "how" :D Me, I like to cast weedless jigs. But, if circumstances dictate, I'll use whatever method is most appropriate for the conditions (or whatever's working at the time ). As to the "where" ... can't give you any specific locations ... but, wood & shade are always key elements in Crappie fishing. ..... luck2ya ... cp
