    Default Paint mix question

Tried my first mix today. Mixed one part red,one part blue tying to get a darker purple than I had. Came out real dark. Which color should I add to lighten it up some? Looks real purple in powder form. Thanks guys.

What was your "part" size. If something like a Tablespoon, I'd add 1/4 teaspoons of white, 1 at a time till it looks better. Don't be fooled though. Powder in the jar often looks quite different than melted on a jig. I use 1/4oz jigs as test subjects. Mix & test. That's the best way. IMHO anyway.

Add small amounts of red until you get it the shade you want
