I am sure that I am going to enjoy it. It comes in 100 gauge
but I upgraded to 125 gauge because I feel like
it should not flex as much and give a better ride

1st thing to do is get rid of that BUTT seat and put in some rod holders.

01-23-2014, 11:45 AM
Is there anything wrong with using
extra tall rod holder and leaning
because I am able to see stuff a
lot better standing up and I am
going to try and design combination
rod holder and depth finder so I can
fish that way

01-23-2014, 12:07 PM
As long as they are articulated so you can get the rods close to the water it shouldn't be a problem. Someone on the site makes a mount
for the DF to go on that raises it up to rod holder level you will have to search for it.

I would say look around on the web and see how others have rigged similar boats. Then get in your and move around and envision the needed things to make it handy and efficiently set up. I had a good sound system installed in my Lund (Sony) and to be honest all you need is something cheap that also has weather band on it to listen to the games and get weather updates. Get a different wind screen....one that is a little taller and flared out to the sides some....you will thank yourself later.

You almost have to go with laid down type rod holders but I would put a couple stand up one s in as they as so handy for keeping a couple of rods and a net ready to go when you are fishing. Oiled hubs or buddy bearings, with standup rear Bunk loading guide, makes loading easier in rougher water. Since its new before you mount anything go ahead and scotch guard all your carpet. Other owners of the same boat can tell you what prop works well but a 4 blade SS Solas is hard to beat for bite and control on those 150 motors. Its not about top speed, its about ride and control at top speeds and cruising. At least for me as my Lund is a rough water boat and when its rough I need good control, plus I am running a much heavier deep V boat, so the 4 blade has been outstanding for me.

Go ahead and cross reference what your Yamaha engine's spin on oil filter is to a automotive brand. On my Mercury I am running a $4 Motorcraft instead of the $18 Mercury. This is me.....after your burn a couple of tanks of fuel, go ahead and change the filter and all oils. Save your receipts.

Nice boat

I also added a kicker mount so I can add a smaller motor
for hp limit lakes and or for a ladder to sit square on the
back. Anybody use the sonic hub and if so are you happy
with it or not because I would like to get something
ordered because the dealer needs to get thAt put in
before I take it home or I may never get it in lol

Bad ass............

01-24-2014, 01:00 AM
Very cool

01-24-2014, 09:03 AM
Nice boat! Forget the sound system. Buy an I pilot or side imager. I would look at the millennium boat seats. Your not gonna want to stand while trolling and it will be dangerous in rough water or if some of these disrespectful boaters fly by.

Sorry sound system was part of the deal I have Lowrance
gen 2 hds 10 and 5 plus lss2. Tunes are mainly
to keep the person in the back of the boat happy
as they bring me a full beverage and take away the
emoty while I keep shaking my jig in front of some
crappie lol plus great for weather info but I guess
everyone does not need a sound system
