New boat ramp and parking lot in Parkville

Who is putting in the new boat ramp in Parkville? Parkville or MDC? Looks like a nice ramp but doesn't make it to the water.

The boat ramp is being built by the County. The ramp is being built using Dept of Homeland Security funds since there isn't good access to the river in the event of an airline emergency along the KCI flight path. MDC is partnering with the county to put in the parking lot, entrance road and restrooms. The ramp is out of the water now due to severe drought conditions. If low water conditions persist when temperatures warm up and concrete can be poured again, we're hoping they will extend it. If the water comes up to near normal there will be plenty of ramp in the water and the extention can be added during the next low water period.
