Have tied some lately that are a little different and some similar. So what do you think?
This one is really different made from the little feathers attached at the bottom of bigger feathers from a partridge (Dyed).
Same bird...

That bottom on is pretty but I still think that crappies would chew that feather up after a couple fish. I like that second one from the bottom myself. Do they make fake stuff that would stand out and look similar to those feathers? Do you try these jigs out on the water or just hang them on the wall or a hat somewhere?
Good things come to those who bait.
Good looking jigs skip
Hope your lines stay wet and your livewells full.:D

Grizz I don't know of any fake stuff like this. However I am playing around with spraying them with clear vinyl and a few other things to see what i can do. Also toying around with some clear stuff and applying it to the feather at the quill all the way out to hold it like I want. Don't know yet how they work as the lake has just started back up and have not had a chance to go yet.
I try everything I make at some point, but it's been a pretty long time since I went fishing. Don't know if I get a chance to before winter and I usually don't fish then so it may be next spring before I get to try some of these.
We shall see at some point.
Looks great skip! Keep up the good work.
good looking jigs, skip. you just can't let these things sit till spring.
too late then to find out how good they work. try'em now.
Great looking jigs. I bet they would work great for dock shooting.
Have a crappie day!:D [email protected]
Thanks again all!
willsjwills I may try to talk the wife into going at least one time this fall before it gets too darn cold.
1weezer, think I know the docks near here that I am going to try . I didn't try them even one time this year, but next spring for sure and if there is enough water I may try the docks soon.
Be sure to check out that other one I posted. It's made for long lasting new type for me. If I can keep from hanging it up an losing it I think it may last a very long time as far as jigs go.
