Default Is side imaging usefull in shallow water?

    Hi Bruce,

I have a 1198, and I can see Lilly Pads and such in shallow water, but I'm not sure if I can see fish in it's side imaging when in shallow water (2ft and under). Do you actually see and target fish in shallow water using it?

I don’t since our bottom is hard and fish don’t show up well in rocks. I will test this more with HB360 and LOW Spotlight this year.

I have used it to pitch jigs into weeds pockets but not to target a fish like I do with regular sonar.
