bob, I bought a Lew's 8 ft single piece Wally Marshall signature IM6 at Academy for $46.99 in Dec. I really like the rod for bank fishing and jigging docks. Hope this helps

Hello,
Do Pond fishing mainly.
Would like to try a longer rod, say 7'6" in a Light, or perhaps ultra-light, version.
Might anyone suggest a "good/decent" cheap one, perhaps in the $ 35 or under class ?
Would want one with the "classic" cork handles and foregrip; not that cut-a-way style they came out with last year.
Thanks,
Bob

Bass Pro Microlite. Excellent rod. Works well for bobber, tightline & cast and retreive. 7.5' length.
Shakespear graphite from WM is available in 7' and less than $20 I think.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
I have several of the Bass Pro microlites in the 7 foot 6 inch size and they are my favorites.
Bass Pro microlites. I have both the 7' and 7'6" models and actually prefer the 7 footer a little better. Seems to have just the right balance in my hand.
