Thumbs up Ed- Happy to see Grubco on board

I'm always happy to see a local (one county down) business getting publicity. We still have a third of the waxies we bought in October (fishing was slow this fall) and they will prbably get us through the winter with a little care. Great company. - Roberta

That is something new to me. What and how do you use their product.

Ranger - We have used Grubco for years here in PA. - good stuff.
Just don't let the spikes hatch - biggest black flies I've ever seen.

We use the spikes and wax worms up here in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan when ice fishing. We use them just about exclusively when ice fishing, although sometimes people will put out minnows too, but for some reason that is more rare in the winter. Larger shiners are often used for catching Northern Pike through the ice.

I think the idea is to have a slower presentation when ice fishing cause the fish are slugish. We'll put multiple spikes on a small ice fishing jig, or just one wax worm. Jig straight down through the ice, and pull up the Crappie.

Yeah, Dale from Grubco is a wonderfull guy. I met him at the TT, then Bruce got in touch with him for sponsorship. I talked to Dale for maybe a half hour about nothin but fishin. Great guy.

Ed, have you tried getting Kodiak Scent on board. Could use a good place to order it from and if Crappie.com could make a few bucks on the orders it would be great.

I'll give them a call. I found their phone number online, but their website eludes me!
    Thanks Duane.

    Talking Waxworms are great

We tip crappie jigs with them a lot. You can't beat a couple of waxies on a jig, fly, or hook for bluegill or rainbow trout. We also use them on tiny jigs through the ice.
We buy 500 at at a time. I pick out the dead ones on a weekly basis to keep the rest healthy. I store ours in the cellar where it's cool, but doesn't dehydrate them the way the fridge does.

We tried the super mealies one time. Yikes! those are scary. I ended up putting most of those in my homemade suet cakes for the birds. They went crazy over them.

Check out their website. You can get an assortment pack of several types of bait . - Roberta

For the Kodiak scents and other products contact www.kastaway.com I love the bait bombs. He even has freeze-dried waxworms and maggots.

    Default Care of Grubco baits

If you go to the Grubco website by clicking on the link on top of the page, you can get information on how to take care of their baits properly and they will last a long time. Your right Roberta, they are a great company. Some teams have won tournaments using Grubco Baits.

Fast service, too. I call on Monday morning and my waxies are here on Wednesday. They only ship early in the week so your bait doesn't sit on some loading dock somewhere over the w/e. - Roberta
