Yes it is sad. Everybody has been asking me if I am related to this fellow. My last name is Langley. We are of no relation.

I still can't believe that idiot kid tried to drive off...Too bad, not only is the Officiers life over but so is his...Ain't gonna be one of these "we can use him to help other kids make the right choices" or "let's take him around to the schools to tell kids the dangers of drinking and driving or making bad decisios"...He'll be lucky if he doesn't get the chamber...

Yeah, been reading his profile in the paper - the lawyer will bleed his
family dry, and he'll still probably do a long time in the pen...
says he enjoyed wine-tasting, tossing frisbees, and liked David Hasselhoff-
they gonna reeeely like him in the big house I think.

Feel like I have to say though, I made lots of just as stupid or even more
so decisions growing up, in particular with booze and driving...
just got real lucky, this kid didn't. A shame all around.

well one drunk idiot ran over and killed the young lady on Hwy 6 a few years back...Not much trouble...Another frat boy killed someone else over on Jackson Ave a few years before that...Now a cop...I think play time is over. I hate to say this BUT if his folks were SMART, they would make him get a public defender, plead guilty to a redeuced charge or just say Murder, take life with elig for parole in say 30 years or the best offer the state will give and let him go...

Only by the grace of God that wasn't me years back. I've done my share of messing up. But I would never...NEVER...Run from a cop who's standing at/near/in front of/behind/on top of or at the window of my car just based on the simple fact that you could run over him on accident...

I hope the kid who did this will consider the man he killed and if he is allowed life let this mans death count for something. What a sad loss for the family, community and world. We need men like this to live and teach others what it takes to be a real man.
