Default Bait Casting reel for crappie fishing

Going to try my luck here to see if one of you fine fisher people can answer this question.
Is there a bait casting reel that can cast a 1/16 ounce jig any distance ? I use 6 pound test and to date have used a Zebco Omega02 spin cast but was wondering if there is such a reel that is bait casting for a smaller 1/16 ounce size ?
Any suggestions anyone can send my way would be of great help.

    Thank You,
    JimG

any of the smaller version of the open face real or spin cast type or work just fine for small jigs I use a 7 foot graphite custom-built spin rod we use 4 pound test and were average cast is about 80 yards with about 1/16 ounce jigs and about 50 yards with the 1/32oz. use the smaller diameter line try some of boneheads line .

My personal opinion is go with a president spinning reel to cast something light like that. you will have way to many back lashes on a baitcaster and will have no distance.

Unless your distance is less than 30 ft.

Yes you can but it will cost you. Diawa Pixy and Shimano Antares (both from Japan)

I would go with the reels the guys are suggesting above, or I have a tiny light from BPS I love it, I don't have a need to cast my jigs.

There's quite a few $20 spinning reels that will do a nice job for what you want. Indeed the Pflueger President is a nice reel. Pinnacle tiny deadbolts aren't bad, either for $20. If you've never used a spinning reel, don't be scared to learn. They're very easy to learn how to use.
    Good luck,
