    Default Underwater Cameras?

I'd like to hear your opinions on underwater cameras, if you've used one.
I've always thought they could be nice to have if you'd like to see what species of fish you're seeing on the fishfinder, and maybe what they're eating down there. Or maybe what specific model camera or monitor you've had the best results with, with the price range factored in? Or links to these discussions already recently discussed? Thanks!

My partner and I use a camera to check on brush placement after we have sunk them. We also use them on exsisting piles to see how many fish are around them. They are amazing! He picked his up at Bass Pro.

I bought an Atlantis from sportsmansguide.com several years back. I got it pretty cheap & am not real pleased with it. It's not worth a darn in stained water. The water has to be clear as tap water to make anything out.

I bought a underwater viewing camera and the lakes I fish are not very clear. I only see just a few feet in front of it. I wish I had spent the money on a better fish finder. Just my 2 cents.

This is true, Beaver Lake is a clear lake with at least 7' visability if not more. I never thought about muddy water, We don't have much of that up here!

We use an underwater camera and love it. Ice fishing makes life alot easier. We've even used it in the summer to locate fish. I wouldn't be without one. We use the Marcum, nice unit.

Thanks guys! I found the search button too, so I'll be busy reading a bunch this morning. I think I'm about sold, because over here the water gets pretty clear during the colder months, when it's more important to see what you're jiggin for.
