Default Finally! I bought a decent boat today. I am pumped.

It isn't new but the motor has about 5 hrs on it. The very old man that had it has been sick for years and it was just sitting there under his shed. I have rode by there saying I wish I could get that type of boat for fishing. It is a well designed boat. Lots of room and storage. I saw him sitting out in his wheelchair and stopped. He gave me the boat almost. New boat trailers cost more than I paid. I am shocked at how it all happened.
My wife said"you really bought another boat, didn't you? A week before Christmas." What did she mean by that. :D Was I wrong to take the fishing boat I've always wanted at a deal of a lifetime?

Just tell her you bought it for her Christmas and hope she enjoys it.

Congratulations...just start showing her the ads on internet for new boats. If you do that she realize how smart a fellow you are. Mine was the same way with my first boat. Then when I retired she virtually bought me a newer boat with my money.

Sounds like you found a deal. Hope it helps you catch lots of fish.
And get your wife to fishing also. That way it will be her ideal to buy a boat or fishing tackle.
My wife is going to be buying me a new Suzuki 140 4-stroke after the first of the year. AS she loves to fish also. :D

crap-king, wish I could find a wife like that. LOL
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

    Wink Great Deal-Falcon Smitty

Falcon Smitty one thing you could do is to offer to take him fishing, Put yourself in his place, It's tough to give up something that you love to do like fishing. It might be a lot of trouble but it will be worth it when you see him enjoy himself.Just a thought. Jimmy S.
