I use all Shimano. Models like Symetre, Side Stab, Siena, TX, Sedona. Whatever kind you choose make sure the reels fit the rods really well. Even if you go to a local store and fit test then order online.

Couple of guys said some they ordered were kinda rough but serviceable. Bait casters for me spider rigging. Thumb bar release and smooth drag. You will want that thumb bar fishing those C&C poles with short line.
