Default Glen Elder Ice fishing basics

Always wanted to try Glen Elder ice fishing for crappie. Live 4.5 hours away. If someone wouldn't mind give me some basic information like: where are good spots/depths to try, bait/jig ideas, does the line type/size matter much, any help would be appreciated. Happy new year, Randy. Feel free to respond or PM.

Just point yourself in that direction and head out. If the ice is good you will see where to fish by all the holes and location of anglers. Most of this is always west of the causeway north of crawker city. My opinion only but if you are just getting started you need to use minnows if you dont have a transducer. Most ice fisherman won't even leave the house without one. Be safe!
