Getting redi to replace my boat I sold earlier this year. Had a jet foot but I'm going back with a prop this year. Been talking with Bill at BRM , he's a good scout to deal with. Really knows his boats. Looks like it'll be an 18 or 20 xpress for me with a 115 yami. Leaning hard toward the 1199 bird at console with 360 . I pilot is a must and maybe some anchors. Can't make my mind up if I want electronics on the front?

if you are buying a new trolling motor go ahead and get the Link, even if you dont connect it to the depth finder there are alot more upgrades from the Ipilot. On cold windy days you will wish you had electronics on the front cause turning back to face the wind to take a peak at your depth hinder is gonna suck in a 15 mph North wind.

I checked out the bay . It's more like my old cc jet . I'm headed over on the 6th to look at them. I figure seeing them up close would be the ticket.

How do you fish Bama, sprider rig, single pole, cranks, long line, all of the above???

Spider rig and single pole.... Usually when I spider rig I take kids and let them fish and I work the I pilot from console take fish off and rebait the hooks.....LOL

I sure like the looks of that Bay, if you do ever decide to pull cranks that floor space will be extra nice. Hope you get some sleep between now and the 6th, doubt I would.

bay boats, or at least a center console, are the cats meow. no getting up and down and no carpets. the only way to go IMO.
