Oh fer pete's sake ... Cubby's have been on the market for a LONG time !!

They look like this :
(not really a nail tail or a paddle tail ... kinda more like a "trumpet" tail )
Personally, I've never used one ... but, I do remember seeing them years ago. They came one jig in a plastic tube, but they were a little on the expensive side (to me, at that time) so I never bothered to try one. Spent my Bait Monkey $$ on Roadrunners, instead.

Haven't used the actual cubbies but do use a similar brand (cheaper). Work great on bluegill.
They are a great bait..Cast them out and reel in very slow, sometimes a pause helps also great crappie & gill bait. On occasion I have tipped with either a spike or a waxy. Don't use a float, but ?? For gills in 10-20 feet use a dark pink or red fished along bottom they love it some think the gills take it for a blood worm on the bottom.
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
Iuka what's the other version you spoke of?
Just went out to see if I had any labels, I don't. But I'm pretty sure they are made by arkie. The local rural king has them, 2 rigged and 6 bodies for $1.99.
