    I was wondering can you link a new hummingbird 859 hd di with the older 1197c si thanks for the input. Looking to put 859 on trolling motor.

    It should be possible. The x9 models will need the ethernet adapter vs direct plug-in. I was planning on the 859 hd di to my 998hdsi.

    Assuming that you are meaning by an Ethernet connection than sure it is possible.
